    1. Where and when were you happiest

February 2015, on my way to dinner at Andrew Edmunds in Soho. I’ve been back countless times since. I hope it never changes.

    2. What do you value most in other people?

    Positivity.

    3. What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?

I’m a hopeless noodler, so the best advice I’ve been given is to know when to stop.

    4. What did you dream of being when you were young?

A hairdresser. I hacked off my Barbie’s ponytail and was perplexed when it didn’t grow back.

    5. What was the last thing that made you laugh out loud?

It doesn’t take much! Case in point: the sound of my neck cracking at my chiropractic appointment this morning.

    6. What keeps you awake at night?

Chilly toes. Snoring. To-do lists. Smart comebacks that I think of years too late.

    7. What is your favourite word?

Noodle. As in, ‘I think I’ll just noodle with this deck and see what happens’.

    8. Which talent are you most envious of?

It’s not exactly a talent, but I wish I could remember the story lines of the books I’ve read, and the movies and TV shows I’ve seen. I’ve re-watched and re-read far too many.

    9. Which famous painting would you choose to have in your home?

Anything by Margaret Preston. I love her prints most of all, but I’m sure I could find space for one of her paintings.

    10. What is your proudest moment?

Moving to London from Australia was a big deal. I arrived on my own with little more than my Mum’s rice cooker. 16 years later, the rice cooker is still going strong and so am I.

I have zero sporting prowess, so running the Berlin Marathon is another highlight. Afterwards, I celebrated until 4am while still wearing my running kit. I think I’m prouder of that than finishing the race.
