‘Today, the B Corp community is built on a shared commitment to accountability, transparency and positive impact.’
The B Corp Movement began in 2006, founded by Jay Coen Gilbert, Bart Houlahan and Andrew Kassoy, who believed business could be a force for good. They created B Lab, the non-profit behind B Corp certification, to protect mission-driven companies and ensure businesses prioritise people and planet alongside profit. Today, the B Corp community is built on a shared commitment to accountability, transparency and positive impact.
To uphold these values, B Corp certification measures a company’s impact across five key pillars: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers. To certify, a business must complete the B Impact Assessment and achieve a qualifying score demonstrating a commitment to balancing profit with purpose and driving positive change. However, B Corp standards are evolving in 2025 to strengthen accountability, drive greater impact and keep up to speed with global sustainability challenges.
‘This commitment to impact is what makes B Corp Month so important.’
This commitment to impact is what makes B Corp Month so important – a time for B Corps worldwide to celebrate, educate and show how business can be a force for good.
A key part of being a B Corp is accountability. That’s why Heavenly is required to publish an annual Impact Report, but it’s more than just a requirement. It’s a way to be transparent, track our progress and engage with stakeholders. It highlights the positive changes we’re making, contributes to the wider B Corp movement and inspires others to redefine success beyond profit.
‘We’ve been committed to continuous improvement, and this report reflects that journey.’
So, what better way to mark B Corp Month than by launching our very first Impact Report. Since our certification in October 2023, we’ve been committed to continuous improvement, and this report reflects that journey.
